UNIVERSAL FLUID SERVICES LOST CIRCULATION MATERIALS

Lost circulation is the single most costly problem plaguing drilling operations. The resulting loss of valuable drilling fluid, increase in non-productive rig time, and lost holes make it the single most expensive drilling phenomenon. Lost circulation can also lead to severe well control incidents.

Universal Fluid Services has created proprietary fluid loss additive blends to prevent and control fluid losses while drilling. These products have been thoroughly tested and have been proven effective in applications throughout Texas and Louisiana.

The test results below demonstrate UFS's lost circulation material (LCM) solutions for high to severe fluid loss scenarios, with formation porosities ranging from 250 to 2000 microns. Permeability Plugging Tests (PPTs) were performed using a water-based fluid system. PPTs were performed at room temperature and 1000 psi differential pressure using both slotted filter disks and ceramic filter disks.
